I saw Dreamgirls, I liked it a lot. Well I like the Supremes and always have. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good movie, it was a musical which was a bonus! Yay! Katie and I are going to play Guitar Hero and DDR for New Years. lol I can't wait until everything starts to fall into place with my life and school. I'm sure I made the right decision. But my family doesn't understand and they probably won't until I start doing stuff. All they talk about is money, what jobs pay higher and such. Those kinds of things don't matter to me. I just want to be happy. You don't know where life may take you, you never know I could be the one that ends up on top. I really want to travel before I get all settled down with my life. Maybe after college. Well the new year will be upon us shortly and I can start my new year fresh and how I want it to be.

lol This is what happens when I get bored...I found the entire Leinart family history online and finally can prove the age old question, am I related to Matt Leinart???? I can now say, yes I am. We both come from a man named Jacob and its the same guy. I am having pizza with my FAVORITE people tomorrow!!! Tom and Mary called and are going to be in town tomorrow. I am like their princess, like even though they have one daughter, they have our pictures at their house too. Like we are their children. Ok well let me explain a tad. lol Tom was our old pastor and the parsonage is around the block from me so we get to know the pastors pretty well. My mom and Mary were like best friends. I was about 1 or 2 and Mary would call and ask if she could come over and babysit me. Even if my mom was still there. She loved taking care of me. Now Tom is the District Supt. and lives in Ann Arbor (boo) or maybe he lives in Lake Orion and commutes, not sure. All I know is I love them and they are coming tomorrow. :)

My uncle said I should watch Failure to Launch, so I guess I should go rent it. lol I got my Dad the MASH movie and he wants me to watch it with him, so I guess I shall. lol But let me tell you, Talladega Nights is FUNNY! I seriously almost peed myself I was laughing so hard, its the kind of laughing that you miss some of the movie because your eyes are watering from laughing. Well and because my eyes were being awfully weird and kept watering up. I couldn't see. But I took out my contacts and they have been fine so I'll put them back in tomorrow. Wore my new pearl earrings today from China, I like them I think I will wear them a lot. lol I also got a jade necklace from China but I need a gold chain to put it on. I have a silver one but it doesn't match. lol

Well the Christmas season is over for another year. It was a whirlwind of a season I might add.

You know I was thinking today, and then I watched my old figure skating tapes and came to a conclusion. I probably was or are a pretty good skater, its just that I had no confidence and I didn't talk. If I was like I am now I probably would still be skating. I think my New Year's resolution will to be to get back into ice skating, even if I go at it alone. I couldn't have lost too much in 3 years. I have always wanted to do pairs skating......it looks like fun! :) Now I just need a man that can lift me. lol

Aww Christmas Eve......Oh I cried, it sooooo hard not having my Grandpa there. We made my Grandma a book with pictures, (from shutterfly.com which is a sweet site...) and she was crying. We are were, I know it will get easier with time but this whole season will be hard, so just keep me and my family in your thoughts.

Fixed the wireless and am back on my computer, yayness. It's raining, WTF? It makes everything look so dreary and dirty. So Monday is the big hoopla. Save me now....My family is quite, how you say, insane. All of us in one room, one house, yikes!

Well my overall GPA was like a 3.02, not as high as I would like it but not extremely bad. It was my stupid history class that brought it down. I should have dropped it sooner. Next semester I have like 3 REALLY easy classes and 2 real classes so it should be all good and just shoot up! lol

Wow its really downpouring outside, brr. Crap I still need to get like one more present, but I don't want to go out in the rain. lol I hope Santa has an umbrella! lol

Oh at church they want me, John, Katie, and Laura to sing some song accapella. They told us yesterday and they want it for Sunday. Yea, and none of us have ever heard the song before. Great. LOL LOL I think I killed Christmas! I was standing next to our tree taking a picture and all of a sudden it turned off! I was like ok...So I go over to the plug and it is hott with 2 t's! The socket was hot as well. The plug, after I unplugged it, smelled like melting plastic. I was like, oh I killed our beautiful tree. Golly gee. lol My dog wasn't helping either, she kept trying to sniff and lick the socket. Yes and in case you were wondering or keeping count, my life is, how you say, not so boring? :)

So I was watching the weekly council meeting as of about 10 minutes ago and it scanned the different council members and one in pericular stood out. Why it was Mr. Vaslo, our favorite little member, he was reading a GOLF magazine during the meeting. How sweet, I mean our library, Senior Center, Community Center, and other buildings are being shut down, but no its more important to read on new ways to aim your swing. Yea thanks, thanks a lot. I'll be sure to vote for you again. Idiot.

Home Sweet Home

I just finished packing and am ready to jet set out of here! But we aren't leaving til late tonight, make sense? Yea I didn't think so either....lol Everett band concert tonight then home! Cleaned out the fridge and de-frostified it. lol "Daddy why is the fridge leaking??" "Darling you have only lived in the 90s and the age of anti-frost fridges, you have to literally clean out and dry the entire fridge so it doesn't mold up" and I thought I was done cleaning.....hahahaha....no. :) Silly rule about unplugging everything. Hopefully Elizabeth unplugged her stuff, she already left a couple of hours ago. Hope my posters don't fall down while I'm gone. Then I would have to put them all back up. I guess I should unplugg my computer because I will have it with me at home and this time I'm not lying. lol

I just sold back my books........Ok I piad about $200 for all 7 and the resale price was..........a whooping $35! Oh my...I looked up my books for next semester almost all of them are over $80 used.....................golly gee.......

I am not the kind of person that can sit for a period of time and study especially for math. I don't get how you study for math besides doing a gazillion problems.My problem is I'll do all the problems and get them all right, so I think 'ok so I must understnad the material' and I go take the test and bomb it. What gives? But half of the problems you can do on the calculator, and the review session tonight is like 4 hours long so I am hoping to be fine. Then I have to prepare for my writing exam tomorrow, not as hard but just as important. Oh and if anyone has been counting, yes this would be the 9th final exam for my writing exam. Ok someone needs to take a exam chill pill and stop giving us exams! But it'll be all over this time tomorrow. Like my dad said, its a milestone ending your first semester of college. I have one other exam on thursday but it doesn't matter how I do I'll still get a 4.0 in it and we get to bring all of our notes. lol

Good riddens Herodotus!!! I actaully almost got the book rippped! lol I am so done with that class! I would sell it back but like half of the book is missing. lol I want to go to IHOP. Don't know where my roommate is....lol Probably at home. YAYAYAY We got a new fire alarm while I was running errands! No seriously, our old alarm would randomly go off, thats not cool. I almost fell out of my seat I got so scared. Hello my biggest phobia=FIRE! So to have the smoke detector randomly go off does not work with me. lol i can't wait to go home! Going to Evertt's band concert on Thursday and then home either late Thursday or early Friday morning! I'm so excited to see everyone!

Ahh Only 4 more days this week and 4 days next week! I can count it on my hands! This is all I have left: My history presentation tomorrow (87%ish done), math assignment due today (due), last math test (still need to study), my final history paper (good thing its due on thursday..) and besides studying for my 2! finals.......I'M DONE! So heres the scoop: apparently we think my writing teacher was fired. A kid who used to be in our class who is not anymore told us about it. hmm....Didn't see the Mel Gibson movie :( poo. I mean I guess I could always see it in the theater. lol

I had Chinese yesterday....omg it was not like the Chinese resturants I'm used too. The sweet and sour sauce was 'crayola red' and nasty looking. I felt sick for like 2 hours after. Not cool. Speaking of food, I'm starving. But its like, hmm do I go outside in the 15 degree weather just for food or just sit here and starve. I hate not having a cafeteria in my building. We do have a vending machine, though.

Last night I set my alarm for 7:50am so I could shower and get all nice for church. Now choir practice is at 9:30. At 9:10 I hear my mom talking about how the girls should get up. Yea my cell phone alarm didn't go off. So good thing my hair was braided from yesterday. I just changed and ran to church. lol John was still later than I was. My family's Thanksgiving sumed up in 23 very interesting seconds...Going to see Borat today! Excited? Yes I am! My little sister just bought a gamecube so thats sweet. Now we just need some games for it. I'll post my holiday pictures later because my cord is up at school. OMG the lines at Kohl's were wrapped around the store! lol We just left....but I did get a cute 'winter white' polka dot skirt. My next mission is to find a red top to go with it for Christmas.

2 days til Thanksgiving!

So I think audioblogger is done. I tried it and I got a dial tone and that's it. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. I know they have other programs but I am not sure if they work with this site. Like my livejournal now has it. ISS test in about 3 hours but I am not worried, she drops one test and I 4.0ed all the rest so I really don't really even need to take this one. National Lampoon's vacation was on yesterday, the original one with Wally World. I love those movies! Oh on my last math quiz and assignment I got an 80% and a 95% heck yes! Maybe this is a turn for the good. I will more than likely be the only one there on Wednesday but I need the extra time so I think it will be worth it. I could go home tomorrow morning but I have math til 5:30 so I'll probably be home around 7ish. I'm bringing my computer home so I'll have my files. A flash drive would be easier but when do I do things easy? ha My dad said he saw the new James Bond movie and gave it a good rating. So go see it if you like James Bond. =] (That's my new favorite smiley if you couldn't guess lol)

My weekend

OMG This weekend was so fun! Let's go day by day!

Friday: Silver Bells Parade in Downtown Lansing. It just put you in such a great holiday mood. Except for the creepy bumy people that kept staring at us, it was fun. Then we came back adn went to Taco Bell. "Why did they put mayo on my taco?!" Oh I guess it was sour cream.....haha Then we went to Bubble Island. The little bubble things were gumy and icky, but I liked the actual drink. After we came back to my room to get my stuff and then we all spent the night in Jen's room. Watched Wedding Crashers, funny movie. Made pop corn that smelled like vomit. lol "I could feel them breathing....lol"

Saturday: We got ready and drove to Pinckney to get Ashleigh's Christmas tree and some of chris' stuff. Went to a sweet coffee shop. Then me and Ashleigh ate dinner, found Hannah and Jen, played Catch Phrase. Saw Accepted, another funny movie. Finally I got to come back to my own room. lol

Today: I just relaxed and watched tv. Cup of China is on soon. Tonight we are eating at Potbelly's, I think I am the only person who has been there before, so that should be fun.

Only 3 more days of class til Thanksgiving!!! =] OH I found a recipe for Cookiedough cupcakes! I want to make them!! haha

I think I know why I was sorta in a bumming mood yesterday. I love the holidays but this year will be hard. It just hit me that my Grandpa who sat by me at EVERY Thanksgiving since I was born is not going to be there. That chair is going to be empty. At Christmas, who will I sit by? I was Grandpa's little sugar. Who is going to gossip about the food or the people at the other end of the table with me? I can't even think about without bursting into tears. Like I am right now. How is my Grandma going to get through it? Or my mom. Her father is gone forever. He was wearing the watch I bought for him. He loved watches. He is not going to be at my wedding, or see my children. I haven't talked about this out loud to anyone whose not in my family, but it would be easier than someone in my family. I didn't think it would be this hard. When Nana died I was devasted but I didn't cry because I wanted to be strong for everyone else. I'm never going to have her cookies again.

Tuesday

17 Days until Christmas break not counting Thanksgiving break or weekends. I'm excited for this semester to be over. I miss my friends and can't wait to see them! Not sure if any of my family is coming in, I know none are for Thanksgiving. I know I'll have to go back to work but I don't want to. No history class today! Yes! Starbucks tomorrow with my teacher. Not used to being here at this time, usually I'm in my god awfully boring class......haha Too bad I still have my writing class, just wait until I tell you all about this class. Seriously this is class is insane...................Just wait until I tell ya'll

I just talked to my advisor and omg I am sooo excited. Right now we are in the process of getting me an internship with the BBC!!!!!! (as in THE BBC in Britain!!!) for my senior year or junior year! The classes in the telecommunications major seem so interesting and cool. I think it is what I need. She said its about how many people you know in this buisness! lol So she gave me a list of people to get to know before next fall. lol She suggested that I try to volunteer at as many radio stations as I can or do internships there. But I need to go swich my major so it has time to switch over.

Thanksgiving is in14 days!

I can't wait til Thanksgiving break. This semester has gone by so fast! I can't believe thats theres only like 4 weeks left! I mean one of my classes are practically done and we get two weeks off. Prospal 2 passed, half of the students here are seriously thinking about moving out of Michigan. I haven't drank pop in about 5 days, I only had a coke today because they burgers at the cafe and water just didn't seem to go with that. lol

Wheres my 100.3 WNIC?! Where's my Christmas music?!

Awwww Why doesn't the online radio work with my mac???? That's the only station with my Christmas music!! Well in other news......I'M GOING TO CALIFORNIA, ARIZONA, AND MAYBE LAS VEGAS!!!!!!!! Yippiee! that's our plan for spring break. My aunt and uncle live in AZ, my cousins live in LA, and Las Vegas is just awesome! I have never been to Arizona and they have been telling us to come visit them for years! So we might. Not sure who would be going, my little sister is going to Florida for her spring break like two weeks later with the band, and my older sister might have a dance compeition that time. hmm I'm free to go.... =) I finished my rough draft and it feels so good to have it done! A guest lecturer on Tuesday and again my class on Thursday is cancelled! Well we have to play the lecture online but still I don't have to go to class! Math test tomorrow, he said its more important than the final...eek. Math Learning Center here I come! lol Maybe I should get a tutor. But I understand the material and when he puts a problem on the overhead I get it right like everytime, so I don't understand why I am not doing so hot...

Mamma Mia!

Mamma Mia was awesome! Very colorful and loud. lol Sometimes you couldn't hear the sining because the pit was louder! haha Then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings, it was good as it always is! lol I forgot what sauce I like, I also switch Sweet BBQ and Honey BQQ. Oh well they are both good. Like as of two minutes ago I am almost done with my paper! It has to be at least 9 pages and I made it to the 9 page mark, so now I can just keep writing or start my conclusion. But I stil have to get my end notes in and my bibliography. It isn't due until tomorrow at 1 so I think I'll make it! lol I also have to get stuff ready for my 8am exam, augh. I have a math test on Wednesday. Save me now! lol I can't wait til Thanksgiving!! That's the next time that I get to go home. But I think my parents want to come to the football game this weekend so thats good. Switching my major either today or tomorrow but probably more tomorrow. lol

Not feeling so hot

My cousins are 100% Chinese and cuter than yours! I also have a Greek cousin, I won't try to spell her name. lol I took a nap hoping to feel better, only to wake up feeling worse. Since its snowing I don't want to venture outside to get food. So I'm sick adn hungry but I did have a candy bar from the vending machine. I also have a 12 page paper due on Tuesday, so I guess this weekend consists of being sick adn typing for hours on end. Well technically I have one page done and so that only leaves 11...lol But Mamma Mia on Sunday! It's so cold in my room, maybe I'll become Ms.Handyman and turn on the radiator. lol I want pizza. Real bad...real bad...I want it so bad I would walk across campus to what I feel to be the best pizza in E. Lansing. OMG I go home for one weekend and what do I see?! HUNGRY HOWIES is GONE!!!! They sold the franchise!! My favorite pizza place EVER!!!! I mean there still is A pizza place so it better be the same pizza or someone is going to get it! lol ooo buffalo wild wings also sounds good.... =)

Some good things happened today (in no particular order):

1) I'M GOING TO SEE THE LONDON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA! OMG I went to buy my Mamma Mia ticket and was OMG they are comnig here? For only $25?! I am so there......It's December 1st and I am beyond excited.

2) John L was fired today!

3) My parents are finally putting texting on my phone plan, so go ahead text away!! I know I will, and random texts you may all recieve....... :)

4) I'm related to someone who has TOUCHED Wynton Marsalis' trumpet!!! I guess my grandpa met him after a show and got to touch it! lol I was talking to my friend and came to the conclusion that only hard-core band geeks would be as excited as we were about that.....LOL

5) My ISS class is cancelled for tomorrow so only one class at 1 is all I have!

6) Got the highest grade out of all of my professor's students on our huge quiz. Now the class hates me ;) Can't help it that teaches love me lol j/k

So my weekend wasn't as I thought it would be. This morning I had a huge exam in writing. I think my hand was shaking the entire time. I think I should treat myself because I got through day 1 of exams. Because surprise, we have two more exams next week! Went to church yesterday for the first time since the funeral. It was like we were in a mourning period. I got some shoes this weekend. I wore my new flats to class. Bad idea...When I got back to the dorm, the whole back of my pants had blood smears and so did my socks and my shoes (good thing that they were red shoes!) I guess I managed to get 2 blisters on each ankle and have them open. It had been bleeding for like 15 minutes before I noticed it. At least my boots don't give me blisters...

Feng Shui?

Yesterday me and my roommate rearranged our room. It probably would have been a sight...lol Two petite girls trying to move bunk beds, dressers, desks and all the plugs. OMG I unplugged my surgebar to move it and I plugged it into another outlet and flipped the switch.........Then I screamed bloody murder! lol I guess the outlet was bad and it just exploded....on me...it looked like a fire cracker! It burned my hoodie alittle. I was like ok maybe not that outlet...But its weird, I actaully feel better and when I woke up I felt better. I think its like that feng shui, the art of putting things into a room to create harmony. But there is no way for me to get on my bed....I had to pull out the bottom drawer of the dresser and holst myself up and swing onto the bed......I think I am going to build a ladder. Well I should probably go study like a good college kid.

I was like Hello? No answer. So I hung up and then did another one. So I don't know how it turned out...lol Surprise it is cold again. OMG did anyone see the game on Saturday?! Greatest comeback in NCAA Divison 1-A football! (and I was there!!!!) Ahhhh! So usually we turn in our math assignments on Wednesday, and so I went to go print mine off to get a head start (or so I thought) and the due date said the 23rd......wait isn't TODAY the 23rd?! lol But as you can see I am still putting it off, by playing on the computer. I have til 4 and there are like 5 questions and I did one. Still have to write my paper. Well I had started it and you know what? My mac froze!!!! I thought it like was above these sorts of things. So I have to start my paper over. Oh well I hadn't done too much on it anyways. Hopefully I'll buy my Mamma Mia tickets today!!!! I have had ABBA songs stuck in my head all week! Coming home this weekend!!!! Yay! Meredith turns 16 on friday, my how they grow up fast. I guess she's having a party or something of that sort. Not sure, all I know is that my mom made my dad paint the basement. lol

Birds Up!

Aww I miss my church.....I don't miss those glasses though......LOL At dinner they were showing Star Wars, it made my day. What can I say, once a fan always a fan. Tomorrow I get to sleep in! Praise the Lord! I napped a lot today, my roommate probably thinks thats all I do. Every time she comes in on any day, I am always sleeping! lol What can I say, I tire myself out! Augh I leave for Chicago at 5am! Not cool. I sat outside the music building waiting for Ashleigh and it made me sad listening to all the bandish conversations. I mean stuff that only band kids would say. My math teacher makes me wanna shout. He always messes up! Then he'll be like, why is the answer wrong? Because you did it wrong, you idiot!!! Augh I sweat my IQ goes down 5 points everytime I ener his classroom. "So Magic Johnson shot a basket adn signed autographs for an hour" So Mr. Brandt, what in heaven's name does that have to do with factoring.....just wondering......FYI: Magic Johnson graduated from the high school that my sister works at! He also went to MSU and was here like last week! Boo-yah......just kidding....

ha On the bus back from Meijer (not MeijerS lol) and there was this guy and he talked rather loudly. (Asking the driver) "When is your birthday?" A couple of minutes later "I'm hot, I'm taking my coat off." Then later "Oh that Martin Luther King Jr. was funny!" I had to keep myself from laughing! lol My presentation went ok I think, she said I got all the major points and did fine. My test was pretty easy for the most part. Aww I got my schedule for this weekend, leaving here at 5am, great. We have to meet in the commuter lot (mind you this isn't even in East Lansing...) thats where my truck is parked lol. But you can call the bus to come pick you up. Oh Tomorrow we are having an emergerncy (man why can't I spell today?) water shut-off. I don't like the sound of that...Ahh I can't wait for next semester to get back into band! Oh I miss it soo. Ok people what is with people sending me candy?! So This is the 3rd! package of candy that I have recieved in the last week. Did I like hit the jackpot or something. Strange......OMG My writing class FINAL exam is in like 2 weeks! What the heck? Augh that lady...Tomorrow I have an oral presentation, I am SOOOOO nervous! lol It only has to be like 5 minutes, I'm just summarizing an article, but still. The freaking article is like 14 pages long and took forever just to read it. What a boring topic, history or poetry? Hmm who cares if Herodotus was a poet or a historian? I don't. Then 2 hours after that I have an exam in my ISS class, wow what a fun day. not. But the rest of the week I don't have an exams or assignments due! So if I can just make it past tomorrow I think I'll be fine. Chicago this weekend!!! :D that menas some mad shopping!!!....and good food! You guys should call me on Sunday because I have a six hour train ride by myself and I'll have nothing to do! lol I hope I get a window seat at least. Then the next weekend is Meredith's 16th birthday. Man, I remember when I turned 16......Katie and my parents and our youth group surprised us! Imagine, if you will, a scene that is out of the ordinary. For example, outside my window I see something that just seems well off. A blue cloudless sky, its snowing like whoa, and the trees are still yellow and red and dropping leaves. So it is a mix of snow and leaves falling with a clear sky. odd. Got out of two classes early today, not too shabby. Hopefully going to the free showing of The Devil Wears Prada. Should be fun. OMG What luck! Ok, so at the Wharton Center they are showing Mamma Mia, which I have been dying to see since it came out. Before the showing they are serving a huge Greek dinner to get into the mood. Well that starts at 5 and my class (on opposite side of the campus) gets out at 4:50. So I am like, man, I guess I could skip or leave early. So I am looking through my syllabus to look something up and notice that on the day of Mamma Mia, we don't have class! I was like :D. So I'll see if my friends are still going and then get my ticket! I love Greek food. Saganaki and Baklavah could probably be the best foods on earth.......Ok so now I am hungry......lol

Omg my Grandma called me like 12 times yesterday. She left me like 3 voicemails. One was just her saying, "Lisa, this is Grandma.............Lisa, this is Grandma............Lisa this is Grandma." lol I could hear my mom in the background coaching her on how to leave a voicemail. lol but I hate it when my phone doesn't give me any indication of a missed call or voicemail. Geeze. Math exam today. pooey. Then I have to come back and write an outline, term paper proposal, and a bibliography all by tomorrow. Did I mention I changed my topic yesterday? So all new research is in line as well. But I know a lot about Egypt and I have to compare it with how Herodotus (I know, who? lol) writes and describes it. Ahhhh shoot. lol I had a dream about my family and our crazy Christmas dinner. lol It was funny. My family makes me laugh, omg are they funny. No, not funny like me, it's funny when I talk about them! lol :D

Figures whenever I want to shower, the showers are closed for cleaning. Well I only have like an hour before my class. Hopefully it gets done soon, it doesn't take long to shower and I guess I won't blow dry my hair to save time. Tonight I won't have time because Ashleigh, Chris and I are driving to Pinckney. I think that is how you spell it...lol He has a rehearsal and since I have my truck up here me and Ashleigh are going to eat at her house. I don't think we are getting back until late tonight. I can get my reading done while I am waiting for him and I can do my research tomorrow. Hopefully start my outline. Those showers better be clean soon. lol But I actaully finished my paper like in the afternoon. Usually I don't start it until like 6. lol Ahh time's awasting......lol I hate feeling rushed. Ok I'll go see.....lol

lol So that was just one of my little bad days. I don't think MSU is the school for me. I think I am going to tell my parents when they take me to Chicago that next fall I want to transfer to Specs Howard. I think that they will understand, I'm pretty almost positive that they will let me. I'm lucky for one thing, having parents that only want their kids to be happy. Unlike the rest of my family that only care about whether it will bring in any money. Sorry that politics make me want to shoot penguins and if I was a lawyer I would probably throw tuna at my clients and tell them to fix their own problems, I want ice cream! lol But instead of transering mid year I'l stick it out for the rest of the year, don't want to miss out on my racquetball class! Hellz no! lol I wonder if Specs has dorms, because I am very wary of living at home since it is in Southfield. I mean that is like an hour away so hopefully.....Well my friend goes there, I wonder where she lives.......for the first 16 weeks you get to take a little of each cass, either in audio or tv, then you can choose after that and they evaulate you to see what you might be best at. I def. need to find Katelyn's number and see how she likes it.

Life

Empty is my life, why did I waste 18 years of my life? What do I have to show of my life? Scrolling through the list of majors here, I come to realize that none of them are for me, but then what do you do? It is hard when you aren't good at anything or have any inerests to fall back on. I wish it was clearer. My life has just been one big lie, one big act. Well the curtains have fell and the show is over. I wish my life had more direction. I wish that someone could just evaulate my life and give me a list of different careers to look into. The sad part is that no one understands because I was stupid enough not to let anyone into my life. Maybe I just dream too big, I mean I guess opera singer, Broadway actor, a Rockette, or a famous actress are just that....dreams....and can never be more then that. My old minister suggested getting into the ministry, and for a while when I was younger, I considered it. I used to sit in the balcony when the sactuary was empty and would just imagine having my own congeration, them holding on to my every word. I always wondered how minsters know how to say the right thing at the right time. When they say a prayer, how do they know what to say? Does it just come to them? Maybe I am just too complicated of a person. Why is life so hard to figure out...

Had Taco Bell today for the first time in like 4 months. lol I got another email from the front desk saying that I had a package at the front desk. My aunt sent me some Halloween candy. lol Laura is napping on my bed and then driving to Western. Bought a new book today, The Kite Runner, we have to read it for class. It seems interesting from just reading the back, so maybe I'll read a lot of it tonight. **Edit I just read the entire book, it was soo good and depressing at the same time, you should all read it! lol** Since I'm here all by myself this weekend. I'm sorta in a The Notebook mood, maybe I'll watch that.......lol I just realized that I can watch a movie on my computer and have the UofM vs MSU game on mute on the tv. lol Multi-tasking at its best. My sister just informed me that she will be napping here for another hour. ok......I did find a Blockbuster though. I am not sure if my account from home works up here.....I guess I could call first.....So if anyone of you guys get bored or anything, just remember that I am probably too! lol

My toes are cold

Ok I can not stand this coldness. This whole let's leave the window open is not going to work. I guess I can just bundle up but in the winter, this will not fly. I'm all alone this weekend so if anyone is bored and needs some excitement feel free to talk to me! lol My roommate is gone until Monday and my friends are gone until Sunday. Lalala so I guess I could do homework. I really want to rent a movie. But I don't know where a movie rental place is....and buffalo wild wings, why is it no one wants to go with me? What is everyone here's problem? I thought everyone loved BWWs, or at least I do ;) Maybe if katie comes to visit she'll go with me, oh that reminds me I need stamps......maybe tomorrow. Oh pray for us, oh lordy. Tomorrow's the big day, there could be some riots lol. I mean I know we are not going to win but one can only hope. I can't believe my little sister's class is going to Ann Arbor for a field trip!!!! What a horrible place to go........especially tomorrow, I hope she is not wearing any MSU stuff, for her safety.......seriously. I can't feel my fingers........I wish the heaters would kick on, my desk is pushed right up against it. Only like 9 more weeks of the semester. I'm thinking of planning a new year's party or a christmas one......so watch for more on that........ :)

I'm going to Chicago! Yippee! Well I'm going to the MSU vs. Northwestern game. My parents are like well let's just spend the weekend down there. My parent's friends are taking a train from E. Lansing and I am riding back with them. My grandparents and relatives from WI are going to the game too. Not sure if they are staying the weekend.....hmmm. Guess what I ate yesterday. A FRIED TWINKIE! Top that. Yea I will probably have a heat attack. lol But it tasted like heaven on a plate and we ate it on the floor. It was one of those special dinners and the tables were on the floor, like in Japan. lol What a night. Today I have History and ISS and I should probably do laundry, I'm running low. lol It is soooooo cold in my dorm room. Long story. lol My sister's class is taking a field trip to MSU tomorrow. So I am tagging along...lol Mrs. Cady thought she got rid of me....hey I still have her cell number....haha ;)

My one rebellious act of college...

Yea so I still need to tell my parents... :) But if that is that is the only crazy thing I do in college, then I think I will be fine! lol and hey it is not like it will be there forever like a tattoo. I think I'll tell them today, Dad first, he is more open minded. lol It is thunder storming again this morning, do you know how not cool it is to walk to a class during a thunder storm for more than one day? But today I have class at 8 and then not again until 4, so that leaves plenty of nap time, only I can't sleep on my side or stomach.....It actually didn't hurt that much. I watched videos on youtube that made it seem like it was painful. But don't take that the wrong way, I'm not getting anything else pierced ever. lol See I figure you can hide your navel, so it is like I know it is there but it is not really exposed to the world.

Ha my blog says I should be in history! But our class was cancelled because the teacher didn't show up! :) But it stinks, I have another class in about an hour so I can't relax to much, and I have a big test in that class. pidizzle. I just remembered that my printer had a scanner on it, and unlike my scanner at home, it actually works! lol The one at home always said it was unplugged. OMG Did everyone hear about that Amish school shooting??? Geeze of all the people, they kill the Amish. One time I went to church camp (I think it was 5th grade) and we were making ice cream (which doesn't have anything to do with the story) and I was talking to this boy and because of my accent he thought I was Amish. He almost had all the kids there convinced I was Amish. Lordy....what a childhood! lol You know my professor didn't remember that she wanted me to talk to the class. I had even prepared some stuff.....geeze. k dokey......

OMGEE I went to my professor's office hours and she talked to me for like 2 hours! ...AND I told her about my city and school system and such, she wants me to do a lecture about my city TOMORROW. What does she want me to say? Half my friends are pregnant or have babies, a majority of the student body get drunk regularly and use drugs. There are gangs at my school that kill people. Our teachers don't teach adn so we are unprepared. Since we fail the MEAPs we are told from 9th grade on that we can't amount to much because we are just from Lincoln Park. No, not me, I'm getting out, I'm going to do something. I have always felt, since I was a kid, that God had something in store for me. Something special. The task is finding out what it is. I'm not going to end up in a cubicle job in a building with no windows. College is a new start for me. I'm starting over and I'm going to do it right this time. I found the cord to my digital camera! Finally! lol "Is this it? It's been here the whole time!" Shut up Meredith, I knew the cord was there......lol So I put some pictures of my 12x15 lovely living space in my flickr. lol Lovely small is more like it.

They barely pass high school knowing that they can just go to Wayne County CC or Henry Ford. They use it in a bad way. I'm not putting it down, my mom went to Henry Ford CC and lived at home. I was just saying how the druggies in my city use it, not like regular people who have more goals than just getting drunk everynight. So if I offended anyone, I'm sorry. So we lost, no big deal. But MSU lost too, now that is a big deal. Not cool. It was weird not being the one going to the dance. Took my Grandma to Mexicantown for dinner. She hasn't been downtown in years. I think she had fun, she is really lonely now and we are trying to help her. ha The Benchwarmers was a funny movie, but with a nice ending. Those kind of movies make you go ahhh. Had dinner with Jenny, who has lost 70 pounds since Jan., and we got to catch up. It is nice to see that her life is going well. Almost all the alumni didn't really go and do anything. Yea you are at some community college, but the whole experience of college is living on your own and learning how to live. My friend goes to Colorado State. I think it is cool to go out of state. The out-of-state tax is ridiculous (I think I almost nailed the spelling...lol) My parents pushed me to stay in state, my cousin almost talked me into ASU, almost. I kinda like winter, thank you very much. lol Well I'm at State and I guess that is where I will stay. I just need to figure out what I want to do with my life. So many interests and I don't know what path to choose. I'll be back in E. Lansing tomorrow to start week 6 of this semester.....augh :)

This is a picture of my friend's tattoo. I thought it was neato, I have never seen a Detroit tattoo like this before. So anyways, we went to the pool hall to play some pool instead of bowling, you know spice it up a little. So guess who won??? ME! I have never played before. "Look I did a Lisa!" Yea but I won, and that is all that matters. Then I saw someone spill their coffee everywhere, I was just about to laugh, when I looked up and saw that it was my sister Laura. lol ha This is the first time I have seen her on campus besides times that we are supposed to meet up! lol

Have you ever had your earphones on all day and made a soundtrack for your life? I do. For example, if I am working down a busy street on my way to class "Unwritten" by Natasha Bettingfield is a good song. On the bus just looking out the window and thinking, any song from Rent is good, I prefer "What You Own", "Finale B" and "I'll Cover You, the reprise". Inspriational songs, like "All or Nothing" or "You Raise Me Up" is good thinking music. I think a lot now, about where I am and where I am going in my life. I suggest you all try it, it makes you happy and it is fun to match up music to parts of your life. Go ahead, try it!

lol Notice Meredith in the doorway, it's the random 'walk-by' shot. lol Yet another rainy day here at MSU! lol But fall is fast approaching and it is SO BEAUTIFUL here! All different colors and the crisp air. We had a guest speaker in my writing class (the class with an anti-American for a teacher), it was supposed to be a Native American. I think she picked the whitest Native American in the nation. We asked what percent he was but he wouldn't say, but he has a French name and a long line of French in him. Hmm..Going home for the weekend! So excited!!! It's so relaxing at home. Homecoming should be fun, alumni get to march in the parade and play in the 3rd and 4th quarters of the game! Then on Saturday I'm helping Meredith get ready for the dance. It seems weird that it is not me getting all dolled up! lol We had a fire drill last night. I like jumped 6 feet, it scared me! :0 I was always the kid in elementary school, that even though we were told numerous times that we were having a drill, when the alarm went off I would jump and normally throw what ever was in my hands. Usually I would come back and not know where my pencil was! lol I was a jumpy child, I must say. Ahh I love just looking out the window at the rain knowing that I am inside and not outside! lol My next class isn't until 4 so hopefully it will be done raining. OMG Speaking of rain, who watched the game on Saturday??? I freakin cried!! I was soaked to the bone and we didn't even win. Since it was a night game, it was even colder at 11:30, since we were wet! lol

OH MY GODDD!!!

I am sooo wet. Not sure if any of yous watched the game well it downpoured TWICE. Each time lasted for about 40 minutes each. I am soaked to the bone. and you know what? We LOST in the last 2 minutes fo the game!!!! We were winning for the entire game until the fricken end!!! We were soooo close to winning!!! I feel bad and lousy. Now there are riots outside and sirens going off everywhere. I'm so cold and have to get up early tomorrow to go home for my Dad's birthday. The nice thing is that he doesn't know I'm coming home for his birthday! Awww....Well I need to go to bed, on the bright side, some guy asked if I wanted to go to his dorm and party. lol No one has ever asked me to do that before. lol But of course I said no, because that is not how I roll. I mess up near the end and couldn't stop laughing so then my fingers wouldn't work the way I wanted them to. lol So ok.

Game day! The big game versus Notre Dame!!! Ahh my roommate went home again, its oh so nice to eat by myself and spend the day by myself day in and day out. Except when me and my homies Ashleigh and Chris make some fun of our own. We all have roommates that float i and out of our rooms. Our movie will be sooo funny. I mena spagettios are better than ramen noodles....Well I have never really had ramen noodles. When we get it done, hopefully soon not sure how long it takes to edit it, I'll post it here. My grandma called me and wanted me to buy her chocolate cheese, because her neighbors didn't believe her that they made it. lol Oh Grandma.... But she sent me $30 for a two dollar chunk of cheese. Only 14 weeks left?! oui!

I can't take this writing class!!! The teacher is whack and is probably on crack!!! Well first she said I got one of the highest grades in all of her classes. Ok, so in high school I told by many teachers that my writing needed some improvement. Hmm...I don't think she actually grades it on grammar and such but how many quotes from her lecture you include. I include as much as I can! So if I have to butt kiss my way through just to get the grade, I will! lol The notes from that class are wild and all over the place because she is all over the place!

I hope I can find the lawsuit that was filed against her last year. She was supposed to be fired. We have to read a whole novel each week and write an essay. But she doesn't have a schedule so we don't know what books are used so we can't get a head start on them or since we don't have them, when we should go bu them.

We have an essay on gender stereotypes due tomorrow, but now we also have to have our entire rough draft done for the essay due next week. Dear lord I cant keep it all straight. She said we should have started our other essays earlier. Well no since TODAY you gave us the thesis to write about. So all last week we didn't even know what we were supposed to write. AUGH!!!!! I have math today too but no assignmetn is due today so I'm not reviewing, just going and taking notes. We have our first test on Wednesday, goodie. She spelled Mulan wrong........She has wore the same shoes, pants, and shirts everyday. Well she rotates the same two shirts. It has been 4 weeks and she has wore the same pants, black jeans rolled up so we can see her ugly shoes. ::cringes::

ok I'll tell you. It is exactly 4:32 AM. The insantity. In about 3 hours I should be arriving at Central for the football game and to stay the night with my girl Katie! lol Augh so tired! I got my alto back and it plays wonderfully. You can tell I haven't played in like four months but it came back rather quickly! lol Whenenver I call my dad I always have weird conversations. "So I have to write something that I haven't never written before, a letter telling my client that she should pay me $10,000. It will save her money in the long run." WTF? Um ok dad....He is an insurance broker so I guess that is what they do.....He also said something along the lines of "Spamalot is one of those musicals that you go because of the music and because you feel all giddy inside." LOL Well I forgot to mention that he is probbly a BIGGER Monty Python fan than any of yous out there. Seriously, you can quiz him. So he wants to go with us! lol Well my sister is coming soon and we are going to go get some coffee for obivous reasons and head off!

Ahh so I just got the call and my altos ready to be picked up!!! Can I get an Amen?! Anyhew.......so about Spamalot the lady said that anyone can come, the more the better. She'll email me the dates and price and such soon as it hopefully tomorrow. The tickets are only like 30 dollars which as I said is amazing for the Fisher Theater. So I think we should have a group of us go......what do you all think??? Oh and I bought a chunk of chocolate cheese which I will be cutting into tomorrow :)

Oh Thank Goodness!!!!!!!!!

I took my sax to Marshalls ( :( I know but theres no other music stores....) and they said it just needs some adjusting and it would cost me 40 dollars. Hopefully they can get it done today! They stay open until 9 so.....I have to take the bus but it's not a long trip. But I finally found a National City to cash my chekc that I have had for like a month now. lol Went to the ATM surprising how much you can spend in just 3 weeks! lol Well in my offense I only bought school supplies, books, and course packs. I use my Sparty Cash for everythign else. Dang college! lol But yea about Spamalot, my sister is going to ask and I'm getting the teacher's email address so I'll email them........I think it would be fun for a group of us.....
