Its cold and rainy

Augh I might not go to the game because its raining and a tad bit cold. I mean I have enough homework to keep me busy today! lol My head hurts. I want to go back to bed. lol Today is the first day that I have slept in since getting to college. It felt good but I'm still tired. Funny movie on Comedy Central right now, some Rodney Dangerfield movie. I can't even think straight because my head hurts so bad :( Ok as I type this it has just started downpouring. I'm not going now lol So now I'll be around today. lol

So I can't bowl.....

Ha So I can't bowl, lol. I mean I'm a band kid, thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Then we went to the library. Now our library is pretty sweet we have 'compact shelving'. Shelves that MOVE! Its said that they have sensors so that if someone steps in between them, they'll stop and not crush them. So of course we had to try it. lol It does stop. lol They probably thought we were drunk or something, because we kept riding the elevators (because we were lost...) and kept trying to stop giggling. lol But since I had a 8 am class this morning I had to come back and go to bed.

Augh I am not going skating today, I backed out again. I wonder what keeps holding me back? I've been trying for three years to get back on the ice. Maybe Sunday, but I would rather go the music store anyways. lol I'm hungry, maybe I'll walk to I-Hop....lol

Paper=finished!

I just realized the wrote 'sunning' instead of sunny! lol Sunning isn't even a word! duh....So writing history papers is much different from regular papers. You have to cite EVERYTHING! But I put a lot more effort and work into this weeks, so hopefully the teacher sees an improvement. Next I have to start on my essay about Superman.....lol But heres my weekend forcast:

Tomorrow: class (shoot me now) 8-8:50, going ice skating, going to Marshall's to get some stuff for my sax! :), Evertte Football game (I'm like the asst. coach for the color guard, right now, but I think next year I might help with the woodwinds or marching or something.

Saturday: Game Day!, Floor breakfast before the game, Hanging out with all of my Eastern friends! lol

Sunday: getting my sax, enough said, I will be playing and oogling it all day. lol That sounds wrong. lol

It's always so sunning in my room! lol Almost the end of the week. Tomorrow I don't have a 8am class! Thank the lord! Then Friday only one class. I'm getting my sax on Sunday, maybe I'll record me playing my song! lol I LOVED the solo that I had its called: Solo de L'Arlesienne from the opera L'Arlesienne. Try pronuncationing that song name for the judges! lol I was like this song...one of the only operas with a sax part. Pretty neato and a great song! I have it on my i-pod.....lol

Math Quiz in t-minus 2 hours......but I think I'll do fairly well, most of it is just review and stuff I did in 9th and 10th grade. So I'd be an idiot not to do well. But now I've probably jinx myself and I'll fail! lol But you can drop your two lowest grades. I just want to go and get it over with! lol Then a paper for history which I am baffled by and another essay for my writing class. The topic? Well thanks for asking......Why is Superman so Darned American and how he compares to a South Asian woman facing racism. I know, right. I'm glad I have all weekend for this one...because you know Superman is an illegal immigrant and alien. Betcha didn't know that. Booya. lol Ok I think I'm done.

I BOUGHT AN ALTO SAX TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes it's a student line, but I'm planning on getting a Selmer Star mouthpiece, or whatever it's called. But the lady said that her son only used it for like 3 lessons and haven't touched it since. So it is like new! :) How great is that????? and DCI Championships is on!!! What a day!!!!! :) Tomorrow I have a math test :( pooey But I have an alto, but its at home so hopefully my oh so loving family will drive it to me........ :)

WRAC 150 can suck it!

I hate this book and class!!! :( I have it everyday but Thursday at 8am!!!! At least its only 50 minutes......

So State won! f**k potatoes! the student section comes up with oh so clean cheers! lol Did anyone watch the game? My dad said that at the end as people are filing out you can see me!!! I was on national television!!! Yippee......But there are like 0% of state fans out there so nonoe probably saw me lol

I just got done reading an entire book (see picture lol) and writing two papers on it. Is English many languages? Who cares?!?! If I have to type languages another time, I'm going to shoot the computer but only with something soft because I wouldn't want to hurt my computer, lol.

Corner Blitz 2006!!!! Best Student Section in the nation!......and I'm in it! :) I heart MSU football!

I am going to start working out soon. I'm getting a little tubby and I live REALLY close to all of the great places such as Grand River (street full of places to eat), Dairy Store (with FAB ice cream!), two food courts......the list goes on and on......So I know that I will eat when I get bored! lol My goal is (this might sound dumb but..) I have always wanted to pierce my belly button! lol I just like the way it looks and it's not something drastic and can be covered up (well it probably will be all the time lol) So maybe if I get me some abs I'll go do that! lol But I mean the walking should be enough, I get so tired from walking. I take the bus to only one class just because there is no way I can get there by walking.

OOOOOOOOO I'm going to Central for the night in like two weeks! Yay I get to see Katie! Should be uber fun! lol It's sorta cold outside but I'm not sure if we are allowed to wear hoodies......because the point of Corner BLitz is that we all wear matching shirts with the same color......hmmm But it'll probably warm up by noonish....hopefully! lol :)

I guess the spirit rally was peppy except that my man Izzo wasn't there! Man I came for Izzo, I want an Izzo bobblehead! Hung out with Chris, Ashleigh and Sarah yesterday. Got caught in the rain twice but I did find a $45 dollar semester bus pass. So now I don't have to buy one! lol the noise level wasn't as bad as yesterday. I'm waiting to hear from Laura about what time we are going home today. The viewing is Sunday adn the funeral is Monday, so I'm missing my first day of classes. I emailed one of my professors but I don't know who teh other one is yet. I put some pictures up on my wall and it's starting to look like a room. It's small but I guess cozy. I have to try REAL hard to not be my messy self, my roommate is VERY neat and tidy. golly gee.....But right now just my desk is cluttered. Well i guess this is all for now. Bon Voyage!

RIP Carl Ray Leinart

My grandpa just passed away, like an hour ago. I feel like poo. and my roommate left so I don't have anyone to talk to, maybe that's good I can cry in peace. So it could be a couple of days before another update or podcast if you guys are even aware that I'm doing one! lol So please keep me and my family in your prayers.

It's the waiting, that'll get ya....

Waiting, that is all that we are doing. What my family and I are going through, knowing that any minute will be the last. The house is silent as everyone just sits and waits. The computer is the only thing keeping my mind off of this. I wish I had someone to talk to. Everytime I talk to my family it ends with someone in tears. This is going to be a long week, please keep us in your prayers.

It's getting harder...

As of about ten minutes ago my grandpa was rushed to the hospital again. He couldn't breathe because his sugar was out of whack. This is becoming pretty routine, he gets home from the hospital and within a week needs to be rushed right back in. But he doesn't want us to see him like that, in the bed with all the tubes and everything. It's getting harder and harder. It has been going like this since last summer. Before I went to Europe I told him that he better be here when I get home. All I could think about was him and how he was doing. Now as I leave for college in three days, I worry because I want to be here. I want him to still be here when I get home. I know it is taking a toll on my Grandma, shes caring for him all by herself 24/7. We offer to help but she wants to do everything herself. It has aged her a lot and shes always tired. I hate to think this way, but I think it's getting close to the end, with his conditions getting worse. I know this is probably depressing to read about, but this is my blog and my life. I have always had a strong connection with him and I don't know what I'll do without him.

What do you mean I might have malaria?!?!?!

I'm an American hero! lol OMG You have to tell them where you have travelled to in the last 12 months, so I start listing all the countries that I have been too. I then remembered that I went on a cruise that is considered out of the US . So they are like, what islands did you go too? I could name two out of the three, so I called my dad for the last one. They couldn't find it in their computer or the atlas......uh oh. "That island sounds familiar, didn't we get an email that it had been added to the malaria infection list?" OMGOMGOMG So no one could remember so they called the Red Cross Hotline thingy and had to leave a message. Finally, someone found it on the computer and it was not on the list. So for like an hour the Red Cross thought I had malaria (I don't know if I'm spelling it right....) but I donated and I felt alittle funny but I'm all good now. A negative, baby!
Band picnic was fun. Oh Kraft.....lol Tomorrow I'm picking up Laura from band camp and buying my books! and an ortho appointment ;( I was actaully going to audio blog it today, but I had to put my retainers back in so I would probably sound funny, like I don't already.... ;)

hahahaha Last night was great! lol Katie's party was fun. It was very eye opening....lol Some of the toys had animals on them. "It's like having a farm in your pans!,"--Lorrianne LOL Oh I love Lorrianne, I was glad she was there. The chocolate foutain worked and all the food was good. A lot of the stuff I was like, you use that how? That goes where? oui.....lol Well today is MY LAST DAY OF WORK!!!! Yay it's finally here! Tomorrow I'm donating blood, I actually like donating,. It doesn't bother me much, I just can't watch them put the needle in. Adios, I'm off to my last day of work!

Why is it sooo cold? oh yea....

OMG You know how it's like not that cold outside? Well we get home form camping this morning and we hear something running......the air conditioner! WTf? So now my house is like an ice chest and the floors are freezing! Who turned it on?! Anyways.....it was UBER busy yesterday and I was bussing. Today I hope it's not as busy....my last Sunday working there! My last day is Wednesday! It's almost here! I got my new coat on Friday. A black wool double breasted peacoat with hood, it's quite charming I must say. lol Packing for college is like whoa! I don't even know where to begin! lol ahhhhh! But I still have a little over a week left.....one week from this Wednesday actaully......lol Ha my friend's roomate (oh yea just so everyone knows, I have decided that the second 'm' in roommate is silent, therefore it doesn't need to be there! lol) is from Idaho, I wonder if he shucks corn........

Why do I let them get to me?!?!

Augh...this just ruined my day. I was srfing through some myspace profiles and I was looking at some of my former friends who I was very close too. The four of us were really close in high school and I was sorta their leader. Well the night before prom all of a sudden all three of them decide to hate me for some reason. I mean who can hate me? Well I was reading some of the comments on their page. Well on the one girls her profile picture was one off of mine, a picture of her and I in Hawaii. Well now she has a new picture and it is of those three. Some of the comments are like, 'I'm glad 'you know who' is finally out of your pictures' and 'I'm glad that ugly whore is not in your pictures anymore, every time I look at her I want to barf.' WTF?! How can they says things like that about me? I didn't do anything to them! Whatever, they better be happy because those three have NO OTHER FRIENDS besides themselves! AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! How many days until I move away?? Oh and get this, two of them all of a sudden decide to go to MSU! I'm going to MSU! wtf? I'll never get away from them!

This is how I look after working the polls for 13 hours! Dear lord......old people. Some lady couldn't remember how many letters were in her name! "Do I have all of them??" I guess.....Oh and you tell people over and over again not to split vote their ballot. We end up giving them a new one because they wanted to vote for Republicans and Democratics. You can't do that in the Primary!!!!! I know they were upset because who wants Jennifer Graholm to win but doesn't want to vote Republican??? I voted yesterday at my old elementary school. Sweet. One week from today is my last day of work!!! Can I last?? lol

I get to vote tomorrow!

Today I'm going to visit Alex, if I don't get lost! lol My sister is in Canada and I think the other one is at work. Sometimes it is nice to wake up to an empty house. lol Except for the cut who is trimming our bushes, he is making an insane amount of noise. My poor dog is terrified! lol But I don't have to work until Wednesday! Tomorrow I am working the polls, all day, with old people. when you reach the gae of sixty and retire this is what you do, you work the polls. All I know is I'm going to make $120 to just sit there and high light people's name! lol Today I am supposed to get the letter telling me who my roommate is, even though I already know, it'll be cool to see the official letter. lol

The first pilot episode of my video podcast is done! It only took a couple of hours and scolding the computer a couple of times. I got off of work early today! Thank godness! I am so tired! I was supposed to work to like 9 tonight. I have to work tomorrow and my last day is the 16th! My fighting nun broke, what a shame! :( I want a new one! lol

Why does it always rain on me?

You know when you have those days and you step foot outside the house and it down pours, get to teh car and it stops, got to where you're going and open the door and it rains again only to stop when you go inside the building? Yea that was my day yesterday. Augh so now it's going to be busy as what at work because it's not raining and it is in the 70's. 11 more days until my last day! :) 19 Days until I move in! yay! OMG Don't look now but there is a HUGE woman mowing a lawn across the street from me in a tank top and shorts and black socks. Throws up alittle in mouth. Maybe I should move the computer away from the window......lol Nasty, I don't want to see that! lol Oh Barb and her fatness! LOL You would have to see her to get it. Gosh now it's time to go to work......dang it!

When little kids start burning their feet on manhole covers, I think it time for Mothernature to get off her fat butt and cool us down! This is my, 'I just worked 6 hours in hell' picture! lol No, seriously it is dangerously hot outside. Why are people at Greenfield Village?! THE AIR CONDITIONER DOESN'T WORK AT THE TASTE OF HISTORY!!!! (My place of employment...) So I had to serve hot food to people in hot weather. Some girl passed out right next to me! Of all the times to scream or yell for help, I just freeze and stand there. But I told a baker and she took care of it. It scared me so much. But I'm home now and its cool and I don't work tomorrow. So that was m day.

I don't wanna grow up....

I like this picture because finally I can se my nose. in regular mirrors, you can't really see teh shape of your nose that well. In my early years of high school, I wanted a nose job. Everyone said that I would just grow in to it, I thought, I don't want my face to be that big to fit in to it! lol But I don't think that I could ever go through with it. Family gathering today...too bad I have to work. I miss out on all of the entertainment! lol

Yesterday I got to work in a candy shop. I know everyone's dream job, right? I got to scoop out bulk candy for grimy little kids adn old people. "OMG they have MaryJanes!!!!!" Yes, I know you probably haven't had them since like the 20's....I hope I get to work there more. I just hate taking my break at State Street.....it's sorta small and dirty and greasy. All at the same time.
My grandpa's brother and his side of the family is coming to visit tomorrow. Too bad I'll be at work! lol Not like I want to go to family gatherings. We are a hodge podge of people, let me tell you. Have you ever seen the National Lampoon's Christmas? Ok they have nothing on us.

Yea I had skills back in my prime. Augh I have to work tomorrow. Please let it rain or something. lol I feel like I am finally ready to go to college. I hope this month and the rest of summer go by really quick! I installed my office mac yesterday, so now I have my trusted word and excel. It's a little different but at least its a program that I know my way around! lol ha The movie trailor viewer finally let me watch some and I can't believe they are making a Strangers with Candy movie!!!!! I love that show! It's so dumb and funny that its great! But it didn't say when it was coming out......I used to watch it on Comedy Central all the time.

Holy moley....lol

first off where are all my icons?! You need to be a rocket scientist to remember all of this stuff! lol good thing I still have a month til I go to school. Ha my dad got a nano. i got a free printer along with the free nano. yea I don't have to work until thursday! It was sorta busy today, lol we sorta spilled the mop bucket and got water all over the floor! lol Oops.....sorry Billy! lol but we did get cupcakes for Elsyias (sorry if I spelled it wrong) birthday. yummy! I have an odd craving for green beab cassarole even though I have never had it and I hate green beans! lol but I think I will make ome tomorrow, it can't be too hard right?

So I had to drive to Ann Arbor today to pick up my grandma because my grandpa was rushed there last night. I guess he was having trouble breathing and had some liquid on his lungs. But I guess its all good now and they're justing testing him now. Hopefully he'll be alright, I told him to stop scaring us like that!

ahhh pickles! :[

Ewwwie!!!!!! I spilled like a whole bucket of pickle juice EVERYWHERE! lol It got on my pants, the floor, on the counter. I just stood there! lol Then had to mop it up but I still smell like dill pickles. Good thing I like pickles or heads would be rolling. Two more people got canned today, that makes 3 in the last two days! lol Karen is on a roll. But I'm a good employee, I think so I think I'm fine.
Church picnic=boring lol Usually they're a little entertaining, but not this year. Bunch of old people eating potato salad.
I was reading about different religions the other day and found out some intresting things. Like for example, it is against my religion (United Methodist) to drink. So our organist who is in and out of AA a lot better straighten up! lol Like fo rour communions we don't use wine, we use grape juice. Sometimes Cran-rasp depending on our mood, OceanSplash all the way! lol I guess our church is made up of three different religions all under one building. All with different beliefs. pidizzle thats a lot to remember. lol Oh and we started the Salvation Army.....oh beat that! lol j/k

I'm sorry you don't like our bread...

Omg I took them grocery shopping last night for their bag lunches. One picked up a bunch of bananas and ripped them apart and only took two. lol You know how they eat hard brown bread? Well let's just say none of our bread qualifies at all. lol But it was fun and they left about two hours ago to go to Illinois, land of the silent 's'. So they bought a t-shirt that says, "detroit, where the weak are killed and eaten" lol I was going to buy them the one that says, "Beware: I have friends in Detroit" ha We took them to Famous Daves (not sure if you guys have heard of it, its like a bbq) We got a platter of bbq ribs adn chicken. They got to try baked beans and coslaw (is that how you spell it, it looks funny! lol) I mean they needed to add some pounds on to their skinny little bodies! lol .......and thats how the cookie crumbles! lol

So last night was the concert. I saw Kellie Cheer! lol Her friend is hosting some people. It was nice, alittle long adn they tuned after EVERY song. The girl I'm hosting was the concert mistress.....ooh ahh...lol Yesterday we went to Fairlane and they saw their first set of spinners! lol Today I think we are going to Greenfield Village and them maybe some Calders ice cream! lol My mom keeps asking me all these questions like what they eat and stuff. Apparently not Reeses Puffs.....lol Oh I found my roomate on Facebook. It's exciting, her name is Elizabeth. yay! Umm what else is new, besides my hair color! lol OOOHHH Mr. Kraft is the new band director......which is odd since he was our student teacher last semester. Usually you can't teach in the same school as you student taught in.....maybe they made an exception......but I think he will do fine. OMG a watermelon?! What joy!

So I'm minding my own business...when I go outside to walk my pooch and discover a watermelon! Oh my! ::gasp:: Where could this have come from? Who leaves poor melons out by themselves. Like the kind hearted person that I am, I take it inside to care and love for it.....








Oh he's such a goofball. I decide to name him Tom, because he reminds me of Tom the Tuba. Soon this little guy will start tuba lessons, once I find one his size. He likes it in my house and decides to stay.....like I would have given him a choice.

He felt blah, so I gave him a face.

Yeah...be jealous of our friendship. You wish you had a watermelon to talk too. They are great listeners who care about your feelings.

Dear lord, please help us to not get killed by homeless people. lol Well Detroit is always a splendid time! lol Well getting to the Fisher building, we got a tiny bit lost! lol.....and on the way back. Hey, so we took the scenic route of abandoned building with hoes on the corners. Oh, and some guy flicked us off for no reason. jerk. But the show was fantastic, yea so maybe I hadn't heard of some, ok most of the video games, but I went for the music and the DSO doesn't disappoint. Yay and we got to see Lindsay. Finally, lol. One day when I'm like 96 and 1/2, I'm going to donate 10 million dollars (or greater) and have my name on the wall. So there! Take that Max Fisher! lol

It is like fricking hot! It's muggy and not cool. lol So I drove down to the Max Fisher building so i would know where it is. lol "So this is a pretty bad part of town, huh?" "No actually this is one of the better parts".....lol Oh well just lock your doors and don't make eye contact! lol Augh dizzle!!!!! My hair didn't like do anything. Yea she started to put the stuff in but you can't even tell. But shes going to finish it later this week. So I'll post pictures when its all done!

IKEA!

&hearts Ok so IKEA is a wonderful store! I give it two thumbs up. Yay for Swedish stores! Speaking of European countries.......So like 5 months ago Blue Lake called me and asked if I would host some Germans. Of course! lol So we hadn't heard from then since, so we thought, ok maybe they didn't need us. I mean you would think that they would want to get in contact with the families. You would think. So they are scheduled to come in next Tuesday, a week from tomorrow. We are minding our own business when we get this email. It reads something alone the lines of the German kids that you are hosting are coming next week be there at 6 to pick them up. OMG If you guys know my mom and her cleaning.....oh boy. We weren't allowed to leave the house for five hours! And we still aren't done cleaning. I don't think my room has ever been this clean. It's like Rambo with a vacuum cleaner. I mean shes making us clean the luggage room, who is going to go in the luggage room?! But it should be fun taking them around. Of course we gotta go to Greenfield Village! lol and D-town!

Yay tomorrow's my hair appointment! I'm not sure how it will turn out. My hair naturally got lighter over the last week.....lol So much for wanting to go lighter....it already has! lol

I missed nationals last year because of Europe. ha My mom wants to go to IKEA, I think we are going tomorrow. Maybe I'll get some cool dorm stuff. So tired...........it was a long day!

I did an auto yesterday.....but where is it? lol It was a good one too......I did an impersonation of the deaf lady...lol Watch I'll post this and it will show up...lol just my luck. Yay! I slept in this morning! Well, ok wait why won't the italic turn off????? I clicked it off but it won't turn off! lol, ok back to the sentence. Ok got it. lol I was scared that I would be trapped in italics FOREVER! lol ha Well I woke up at like 9ish and had breakfast but then fell back asleep until like 12. It felt good and now I'm not tired! lol Now I'm going to the mall because I got paid and need jeans.


ooo I'm going to hi-light my hair on Tuesday! I'm excited because I have never done anything like that to my hair before. I am staying with brown because I like having brown hair, but putting in lighter shades. Oh my virgin hair will be virgin no more! lol I'll post pictures of it! lol

Yea, so the day started off good.......I didn't get accepted into the marching band. But I have an option to be on the reserve list and they could call at any time if someone drops out. But I could be at the bottom of that list for all I know. But I have been thinking about college and my future a lot. Maybe I want to take it easy my first year. But my mom is insisting on me being on the reserve list because she says that I have come so far already. But I guess I just don't know if its for me. Right now I don't know what I want or what I want to do. But I do know that I don't want someone pushing into doing things that I don't want to do. I'm tired of surrending to other people. I mean yea I do or did want to do it, but I have to think about my future as well. I would have practice every night, could I keep up with my classes? I don't even have a sax so if they did call me like the day before camp, what would I do? But my mom is like, well you said that people who don't do it their first year wont ever do it. Yea, but I'm different, I will go out again next year. Take the Mackinac Honor Guard, I didn't get in my first year but I did it the next year. But college is a big step for me and I want to be in control. I'm so confused and turned around. augh!!!!!!!!!!!




On a lighter note, I got my voters registration card today and I got to leave work an hour early.

one more day....

I'm excited because I took off this weekend and then they gave me monday and tuesday off, so I don't have to work again until wednesday! yay!!! I'm getting tired and it'll be nice to not have to go. I think Meredith and I are going on Friday, theres some stuff in the bakery that I would like to try! lol....and I get paid on Friday.
So 4th of July was alright, I guess. lol My very patroitic family went to arby's and that's pretty much all we did! lol People were shooting off fireworks until like 4 am! Some sounded like a bomb going off. I was trying to finish my book (which by the way is a great book! lol 'The Glass Castle' fyi) and I couldn't because of all the fireworks! It drove my poor dog crazy, as it does each year. She was shaking so much that she was moving across the floor! lol

well I just looked at the clock and noticed the time, much later than I thought, lol. So I need to go get ready for another (hopefully slow) day at the TOH! lol

So I think it finally stormed last night but I think I slept through it. Ha this is a picture of Eylse and I trying to fold the dumb Canadian flag! lol My pants don't really match but thats ok...lol Usually we have our uniforms on but this was a practice lowering. (Because we pretty much sucked and had to practice a lot lol)
Worked the tent for the last night. I was a greeter and told people where to get the booze. That's all most people wanted. I can not imagine drinking at Greenfield Village at a DSO concert. I mean it seems a little odd to me. Today I only work til 4! yay! I think since I don't work again until Monday, I'm going to go eat there on Friday. It was soooooooooooo busy yesterday. I was on soup (its like cafeteria style so you just go to whatever you want to eat) and I thought ok, noone ever buys soup so it will be easy. No I had to help with deli and its hard having four people with very little counter space making subs and wraps and stuff.
Family comes home today, finally. I miss my dog! lol

Yay working another double tonight! lol I got to go home early yesterday so I drove up to Monroe to stay with my family. I got a lot more sleep! lol Tonight Laura is going to stay with me. So that's good. Can't wait til Friday (because I don't have to work! lol) Saturday is the big day. Nationals is the biggest dance compeition of the year. I think we are only against one other team (the ramettes who aren't the best...) I'll post pics of that later. lol

free DSO concert?! heck yes! lol

Yea I so I guess this job has some perks! lol The detroit symphony orchestra is playing at Greenfield village starting tonight through monday and I get in for free!!! They said that the food tent is near the concert.....so that rocks! lol So nothing else to exciting. My grandpa's brother is in town with his family. My grandparents are in China. I wonder if they can speak chinese....hopefully lol Yay! I got new windows in my room. They replaced the original windows (and when I say original I mean 1932 windows......they weren't the best...lol) Mine never opened so now I have windows that I can open! Can I get an amen? lol Maybe I'll take a picture of them and then post it. Can't wait to get my new computer. I just need my parents to go with me to get one. They are moving sorta slow, I must say. Vacation bible school was fun yesterday. lol We did some skits adn I was the father. "Is the father from the south?" "No just the southern part of Egypt" lol I'm sorry thats how I talk lol

Anyho.......I am back from my AOP ( orientation program) I have my classes picked for next year. I will admit I was quite stressed as I don't have a gasp on what career I would like...Right now I'm in history and thats nice I guess. But my dream is to become a comedian either on the radio or tv or stand-up and I don't want to throw that aside. So maybe I could try communications or broadcasting...hmm. But you need all of your core classes first anyways so. I thought of a cute name for my old high school's marching band theme (because you know i-pod sorta a registered trademark name...lol) I think it should be something like "Pocket DJ" because like 99% of i-pod owners carry theirs in their pockets. I know creative, huh? lol

I was in Barnes and Nobles for like an hour today just wondering. I actually wondered thru East Lansing for about four hours on my own. (It ended at like 10 and my sister came at like 2:15ish) I went to Starbucks and had a fab double chocolate chip frap. and I think that might be what gets me through college! lol Bonus: my dorm is like next door to it! Yay for being on the border of campus! Well I will stop rambling and let you all get back to your lives.

College oreintation today and tomorrow! I'll be home tomorrow around 5 or early evening. Wish me luck!!!!!

Well it was rather interesting, I guess. Especially since I did NOT want to come back this year at all! lol Taking a year off with INW sorta made me not want to go back. Standing duty was alright. (Duty-equals two and a half hours of standing outside greeting visitors and other weird jobs such as cleaning the cannon and stamping tickets) Some days it rained and some days the sun shone so bright you couldn't even see. Flags sucked in teh beginning of the week. I was Canadian on Avenue and so all the flags go up and down at the same time. We had to practice so much! (Flags- each girl and her flag partner each have a flag to lower and raise, its sorta hard to do! lol)
I worked in the Governor's Mansion on Wednesday. It has a lot of rooms. But I did see a box of Corona! (Shame on you Jennifer Graholm!!!) We helped with the tours of her house. We had two busy days! Augh! (Busy Days-a day when your patrol can NOT leave the barraacks at all, all day. You have kapers to do and they have to be done by like 10:15. We cook all the meals for the day and do a service project. We had to sweep like 13 flights of steps on this one trail.)

So this isn't your typical Girl Scout camp, oh no, its a lot of work and energy. Well it is a service camp so its supposed to be strict, I guess. One of our biggest rules is not to fratinize (whoa spelling) with the male fortstaff. (AKA the soldiers of the fort) Of course I find the only loop hole! lol Well on my busy day, at fortstaff night I was the 'hopper' (you serve your table and get whatever they need) All of the soldiers come to our barracks for dinner. There were like three at my table. They weren't the best that we have had so I just ate and didn't talk very much. Well the next day my duty was in the fort. One of the soldiers (who had been at my table) came up and asked if I was majoring in History at MSU (I am...) I was like yes, how'd you know? "Oh, I looked you up on facebook" !! He looked me up on the internet?! lol I didn't even know that he knew my name! lol ha so we said that we can fratinize with the fortstaff online! lol (Oh and don't worry about that guy, he just wanted to tell me that he is head of the history depeartment at MSU and just wanted me to know in case I had questions about it, nothing creepy! lol)

ok I'm done. Augh I have to work today after having a week off. OOOOO yea my old high school director is now the prinicple at Keppen School. So as of now my high school has no badn director. Their first marching band rehearsal is next week!!! Well I'm out of high school so it doesn't affect me! lol

I leave at 6 am tomorrow for Mackinac Island! I'll be back late Saturday night, next Saturday not this one, lol. I swear I'll find the internet cafe (I say that every year and have yet to find it! lol)

You wouldn't believe the number of people who don't know what a coney dog is. I mean its a hot dog with coney sauce on it. Oh and the people who have never seen Faygo (except if they live out of state). So I am getting my hair high-lighted and I don't know if I should do blonde or light brown. hmmm.....so if any of you have any input, I'd love to hear it! lol and its free because its my hairdresser's gift to me for graduation. I have never touched virign hair, but I need to do something different for college. I don't want it any shorter, I'm going to grow it out more.

I leave for Mackinac Island in like two days for a week. Am I packed yet? Heavens no! lol Well we wear a uniform most of the time so really you just need clothes that you can change into. Augh I have to be in Grosse Ile at 5am! Augh!!!!! lol But now I have a cool I-pod pillow that I can bring on the bus! lol

People should visit me at the village, its gets boring when no one but old people come! lol

So I auditioned for the Spartan Marching Band which is one of the best Big Ten marching bands in Michigan. There is only 13 spots open for alto.....thats not counting the music majors who are automatically in and the people auditioning next weekend. The director only had positive things to say, but maybe thats just what he says to everyone. I mean words like 'from what you have played so far, I see that you are qualified adn able to be in the band' and 'you are doing perfectly'. But I mean he could be saying this stuff to everyone. But I guess if I don't get in, I'll at least know that I tryed and played my best and thats they're is always next year. I have wanted to be in this band since I was like four........

I got my housing assignment from MSU..........Campbell Hall, in West Circle. Yay I'm not in the freshmen dorms!!! West Circle is soo beautiful! Its the oldest dorms and they look pretty and old.It even has ivory growing up its side!!! lol
